When I knew the package had been shipped, I checked the mail every day. I couldn't wait for it to arrive! Receiving the TRANSFORM Challenge Kit was so exciting, and I was ready to jump into a healthier me. My husband asked if he could also join me, which made it something to look forward to even more.
I have a few most successful moments. First, fitting in a workout with my husband on a daily basis for 30 days was a wonderful way to spend time together. Second, the one day I couldn't do a workout during the evening with my husband, my oldest son took his place and exercised with me. Throughout the month all of our children joined our workouts many times. I strongly believe the best way to teach our children the importance of a healthy lifestyle is to lead by example. Third, we never missed a workout, despite that it was August and we had many out-of-town guests stay with us. A few even joined us!
I have had five previous knee surgeries, which means I am not able to do high impact exercises. I was wary of the jump rope; however, I began slowly and soon found I could jump most of the time. It was helpful to have the low-impact choices in lieu of the jump rope.
This is a really tough question to answer, because I feel that all the workouts together gave me a whole-body experience. All the movements worked well together. Ok, my favourite workout was CORE. And, if I must choose, my two favourite movements are the burpee and the lunge + karate kick combo. My knees didn't feel great with some of the movements, but I was able to easily adjust my range of motion.
Since I completed the TRANSFORM 30-Day Challenge a few months ago, I still do parts of the program twice a week. I rotate through different parts of the program. I also go to the gym for yoga and aqua fitness. My husband and I plan to repeat the entire challenge in January.
