Chances are you will catch some kind of respiratory virus this winter, and hopefully it is the common cold instead of influenza. Should you exercise as usual, or put your fitness regimen temporarily on hold until you feel better?
Regular exercise over time boosts immunity. However, a single workout requires energy that might be better used to battle your illness.
You are the best resource about your body. You know all about your ‘normal’ energy levels and any pre-existing health conditions or considerations. Perhaps the best advice is, “listen to your body.”
