FM: How did you feel when you received your TRANSFORM kit and how did you get yourself ready the challenge?
I was really excited to receive my TRANSFORM kit and couldn't wait to get started! I would always rather workout at home than at a gym, so I knew it was going to be a great addition to my home gym, and it sure has been! I've done the challenge a couple of times now. Each time I was really looking forward to getting started and very much enjoyed the challenge.
FM: What was one of your most successful or highlighting moments during the challenge?
As the challenge went on, especially once I was about 3 weeks in, I noticed that the workouts became easier for me and I didn't tire out as quickly. I felt strong from start to finish. I also noticed physical changes in my body as the challenge went on -- just looking leaner and more fit.
FM: Tell me about any barrier or "hiccup" or anything that just didn't go as planned.
Well, normally I am pretty disciplined with getting my workouts in. On a normal day, I would wake up early go to a 6 a.m. hot yoga class, come home and get my kids off to school and then go to do my moveBALL™ workout. Over the last few months we have been doing an extensive home reno and I have been totally off schedule -- rather I've had to follow my contractors schedule! That lead to a couple missed workouts and having to double up on some days to ensure I completed every workout in the challenge. I also work and my evenings are busy with kids but I was committed to the challenge so I made sure I completed every workout.
FM: What was your favourite workout or movement? Least?
I LOVE all the workouts! But if I had to choose, I would say SPORT is my favourite. I love how the workouts combine strength and cardio, and upper and lower body movements such as the Volleyball Block in SPORT. I am not a Burpee lover, so that would be my least favourite!
FM: What are your post challenge plans for physical activity?
I do hot yoga on a regular basis. Also, I have a spin bike and elliptical machine in my home gym and some light weights. I do a home based program with those components in it. I really do love moveBALL™ and the TRANSFORM program, so I will be completing the challenge again come January 1st! Once that is complete, I will do a couple TRANSFORM workouts per week after that.
